Considered Darwin’s finest address, the city’s tallest and most eye-catching residential building epitomises luxury, style and sophistication. Located at the heart of the city, and boasting 33 storeys of uninterrupted 360-degree views of Darwin’s spectacular skyline, Evolution on Gardiner is the Northern Territory’s most distinctive residential tower.

Revolutionising the construction industry in the Northern Territory, Sunbuild proudly developed, designed and constructed the project by innovative construction techniques such as investing in Darwin’s first hydraulic self climbing core framework and Kone’s state of the art plantroomless lift system.

Over 17,719 M³ of concrete and 2469 tonnes of reinforcing went into the build of the project, and the result is 104 residential apartments and five commercial units with the highest quality specialised finishes that are 5-star plus.

Units include polished tiles laid on DAMTEC achieving a 42 L_nt_w rating (a first for Darwin), 2.4m high doors, glass splashbacks, natural timber veneer and 2 pak joinery and full height semi-frameless glass shower screens. All white goods were provided including coffee machine, microwave, washer and dryer.

To confirm the building’s status as a truly luxurious address, Evolution on Gardiner also includes a 1200m² recreation deck with a games room, gym and meeting room, three BBQ areas including shelter, a 25m two-lane lap pool including lagoon and kids pool, fountains and a real grassed area.

A complete design and construct project for Sunbuild, Evolution on Gardiner earned the company a TCA President’s Award in 2009.
