Neil Sunners
Neil SunnersDirector and Managing Director
It’s rare to find a company Director with such a passionate, hands-on approach to running a construction business, but Neil Sunners is no ordinary Director and Sunbuild is far from being a typical construction company.

As Co-Founder of Sunbuild, Neil has used his extensive experience in building to develop an impressive business that has become the frontrunner among Darwin construction companies. Driving its success is the ethos that has seen Sunbuild collect 23 major Master Builder Awards.

‘Building with Pride’ is the core value that Neil has successfully applied to all levels of the business. Determined to create an industry leader that prides itself on a holistic approach, Neil Sunners has helped Sunbuild evolve into a company that not only conceptualises, designs and constructs, but also owns the equipment and materials that ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

With 40 years construction experience and 30 years in the Northern Territory, Neil is a highly respected businessman and member of the community. He’s certainly earned the respect of Sunbuild’s many clients, delivering solutions in the key private, corporate, education and Government sectors and maintaining the company’s impressive track record of return business.

At an executive level, Neil doesn’t mind rolling up his sleeves and personally managing key divisions of Sunbuild, overseeing the business’ major plant, precast factory and formwork divisions. His passion for Sunbuild and its impressive achievements motivates staff and clients alike.

Having co-founded the company and playing a crucial role in its incredible growth, you can be sure Neil Sunners’ hands-on approach will further contribute to more rapid expansion in the future as Sunbuild seeks to deliver increasingly ambitious constructions.

Now, with 30 years experience, Jim’s understanding of construction is encyclopaedic. He’s not only an exceptional Director and manager, but also a thought leader in the industry.

At the helm of Sunbuild’s constructions, Jim is proud of every project but especially fond of the large scale and innovative projects that are notable credits among Sunbuild’s long history of successes.
