DESCRIPTION:
To design and construct a 70 place child care facility in Tindal to marry in with the industrial type shed philosophy of Tindal but be of a homely atmosphere for the child to relate to. This demanded a simple shed type construction but with soft type entrance and interior finishes. |

This project was won from second place in dollars but it offered more area which gave a cheaper $per m2 rate.
The project was the first building in Tindal to be upgraded in the PEMS controls (monitoring) area to bring it up close to Robertson Barracks but we had to integrate with a system that is now 15 years old. The Substation was also under-size and had to be upgraded from 300 to 500kva.

| By keeping the construction to a simple portal frame type shed and then adding small features externally to make it more attractive, we were able to achieve more square metres in the building for the budget, hence added “value for money” for the client. |
