This project was the most difficult building job seen in Darwin. It required a 7m extension to the front of the existing building, which completely took up the remaining land space, therefore had no layout area for material. It fronted busy CBD Mitchell Street making access difficult.
The project required a 2 storey deep excavation at the rear of the building for a 4 storey carpark. The only access was a single lane beside the existing building which went under the new extension at the front making timing critical. This also required underpinning to the 8 storey and 6 storey neighbouring building.
To top this off, the existing building was still occupied by tenants which restricted noise and operation time while maintaining 24 hour access to the tenant.

| Our management of the project allowed us to successfully complete the building in a professional way even with a very difficult client and a biased Superintendent. |
