| The extension of time and extra cost mainly related to the structural steel design not working, which needed extra members to support itself and a different approach to be able to erect it. The project was completed over the highest recorded wet season with the contract conditions not allowing for any extension of time for wet weather. |
Because of rock encountered and the design of the play area being steep, we offered a redesign of the area which achieved a far better play environment at no extra costs to the client. This included redesign of retaining wall footings and play equipment.
Also a simpler method was recommended for the tempering valve on the hot water system which proved to be a winner all round with costs and ease of use. |
